Building a Future Workforce
This industry-wide issue continues to be a focus of AASP-MN.
- Workforce Task Group - identifies strategies and directs AASP-MN's efforts to attract and retain qualified employees to the automotive service industry.
- Automotive Education Fund - provides financial resources to support automotive students, enhance automotive programs and raise awareness of career opportunities in the independent automotive service industry.
- Scholarships - each year, $1,000 scholarships are awarded to students entering their second year of a two-year, NATEF-certified automotive program (mechanical or collision).
- Career presentations and career fair exhibits communicate the opportunities available to young people who enter the automotive service industry.
