This industry-wide issue continues to be a focus of AASP-MN.

• Workforce Task Group - identifies strategies and directs AASP-MN's efforts to attract and retain qualified employees to the automotive service industry.
  
  
• Automotive Education Fund - provides financial resources to support automotive students, enhance automotive programs and raise awareness of career opportunities in the independent automotive service industry.
  
  
• Scholarships - each year, $500 scholarships are awarded to students entering their second year of a two-year, NATEF-certified automotive program (mechanical or collision).  In addition, AASP-MN awards scholarships to students who participate in its annual Lights On For Safety event and to the top finalists in the SkillsUSA contests.     
  
  
• Career presentations and career fair exhibits communicate the opportunities available to young people who enter the automotive service industry.
